What is Backroute?
Founded by a visual storyteller who's spent years on the road capturing moments that move people, Backroute was brought to life from the desire to find a meaningful balance of life and work. Backroute serves brands that walk the long and narrow, helping them show the world what they have to offer. A founder-led creative studio, where every project is personally guided by Grayson, with a focus on authenticity and purposeful storytelling.
Growing up in Tennessee, I naturally developed a love for the outdoors, travel, music, and much more. As a result, my work became a blend of all these things. I have a deep passion for life and adventure, and this love pours out through my work. When I'm not working, you can usually find me spending time with family, dreaming of the next powder day, or looking for some type two fun.

My craft is centered on the importance of simplicity and helping brands connect by staying true to who they are. Simplicity doesn’t mean a lack of grit, care, or commitment—it means that I strive to deliver the best I am capable of.
